The 2015 MTV "Video Music Awards" are just days away, and today, the network announced that Kanye West will be receiving this year's "Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award." West will be presented with the award on Sunday night, where he will be recognized for his countless amount of classic and timeless videos that he has put out throughout his career. This award is the VMA's highest honor, and in the past has been presented to the likes of BeyoncéMadonna, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, and more. It's unclear if 'Ye is going to perform during the show, but he is nominated for one other award for his appearance on Big Sean's "One Man Can Change the World" with John Legend

The awards, which will be hosted by Miley Cyrus, will air live this Sunday night at 9 p.m. from Los Angeles. Watch MTV's promo video announcing Kanye as this year's recipient of the award below.
