Keep it funky.

Most heads watching the WWE right now are looking for a few killer moments; any match that guys like Kevin Owens and Cesaro are in; ANYTHING The New Day is doing; the boss Sasha Banks. Another crucial part of what makes the WWE fire these days is Brock Lesnar. He's the biggest thing they have right now, and he always delivers.

It's been rumored that the WWE's next huge house show at New York City's Madison Square Garden (which is a venue that the WWE has helped put on the map since the professional wrestling territory days) on Oct. 3 would feature Lesnar against a number of superstars in what would essentially be Brock beating the f*ck out of them for the fans' delight. These MSG house shows are usually pretty big deals, but with Lesnar on it? It's turned into a live WWE Network special that, based on an update from MSG, will now feature Lesnar facing The Big Show. Sounds ho-hum? Skip ahead to about two minutes in the following match from 2003 to find out what happens when Brock and Big Show do battle:

Keep in mind, the MSG site also says "card subject to change." There's no confirmation from the WWE on who Lesnar will be facing, but there's hope that since this match is said to be taking place on the Network, Lesnar (and Paul Heyman) might appear on WWE TV to hype up what should be a massive brawl.

Lesnar's controversial bout with The Undertaker at SummerSlam put asses in seats (and eyes on the Network), and a quick squash match against Kofi Kingston turned what could've been a little-seen house show in Japan into a dope WWE Network special. Wait; that Japan special was called "Brock Lesnar: The Beast in the East," because Japan. Maybe they can call this one "Brock Lesnar: The Beast in the East 2," because East Coast of America? Make it a series of Brock Lesnar wrestling on the East Coast or in Japan or on the Eastern side of a town and turn this into the Brock Lesnar beatdown tour, available live for just $9.99 on the WWE Network.

(If the WWE ends up using that, I'd take a lifetime subscription to said Network kthxbye.)

Here's the full card (which is subject to change) for the WWE's return to Madison Square Garden on Oct. 3 (tickets are available now):

  • Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman) vs. The Big Show
  • John Cena vs. Seth Rollins for the United States championship
  • Randy Orton vs. Sheamus
  • Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev
  • Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens
  • The WWE New York return of The Dudley Boyz
  • Other WWE Superstars booked to appear: The New DayTeam BellaStardustMark Henry
