UPDATE (9/7/15): Unfortunately, Tyrod Taylor's agent has dismissed TMZ's story about the quarterback's diamond mouthpiece as "a complete fabrication," ESPN reports. Taylor's agent, Adisa Bakari, told ESPN that Taylor has never even spoken to dentist Dr. Michael Wright about a mouthpiece of this type jokingly. He added that Taylor's family was offended by the report that the Bills quarterback would ever do such a thing.

Recent history suggests that the quarterbacks in Buffalo typically don't hang onto their starting jobs for long. So, Tyrod Taylor is going big for his first career start with the Bills by bringing some bling to his mouthpiece, TMZ reports.

Taylor, who spent his first four seasons in the NFL in Baltimore holding the clipboard for Joe Flacco, hooked up with dentist Dr. Michael Wright. Wright tells TMZ the former Virginia Tech star's mouthpiece "will be blinged out with diamonds." The diamonds are coated with a protective layer in order to protect the new quarterback's mouth.

In addition to the diamonds, it is also equipped with a magnetic strip so that it can hang onto Taylor's helmet.

While not as flashy as the $25,000 mouthpiece filled with diamonds, gold flakes, and $100 bills worn by Floyd Mayweather, maybe Taylor can get a replica if he goes 48-0.
